My wife and I spent an anniversary in the area, ate lunch and our server boxed up just as much for us to take back to the B&B as we eat in the restaurant. Very nice and nostalgic feel. I would like to stay in the cabins next time.

and listen for Banjo music, you won't be too far from where the Banjo Picker actually lived. The Chatooga River flows near and thru near Cleveland.

We lived in that area for about 3 years. I was the Army Recruiting Seargeant there for Western NC, and I love the area. Several great places to eat.

We stayed there probably 15 years ago. Ate breakfast and dinner there in the same day.
that’s the most food I have ever eaten in one day. We stayed in a cabin and did the trail/river ride on the horses. Been thinking about going back up for a visit.

Our Scout troop hikes Silars Bald every year and the reward is Sunday morning breakfast at the Dillard House. Been going for 15+ years. Worth the trip to stay in the area for a couple days.

Great food. Used to go with friends when I was in trade school. You wont be disappointed.

And yes I really had friends.
