i need help with my tv at deer camp. My H-24 set top box died. They are MD now. I was given a H-25 new and improved. It won't work. I have a slimline 3 disk that I know is correct, two campers either side have service and their box works in my camper. It's not the dish or my coaxial. My error message is can't find dish error 775. I've tried adding power inserter, won't work. I've tried every available disk available in setup. I've tried SWM and multi switch with every available disk type. Nothing works. Their tech support is a joke. Every time I call they tell me a different story, SWM, milti switch. Nothing works. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is there a directv tech that wants to do a side job, I'm willing drive you to deer camp and pay. I just need TV.

if you are paying for directv service and they cant get you back on...just ask for the cancellation group and they will try and do a customer churn recovery. They literally will do whatever it takes to keep you

A few friends were DirecTV employees that then moved to AT&T after the merge. I'll call around tomorrow and tell them the run down and the error message and see what they say.

Directv help? I'll give you some help... learn real quick on how to say you don't want to upgrade or buy more channels. And learn a new ****ing language to speak with these ****ers.

I'm willing to pay for help. I retired from AT&T I get it. Once you retire they don't know you. They can pm me and I will call them.

Hey jawja, I left some voicemails yesterday. They both had their phones off.

Did some reading as I have not messed with DTV in 2 years. With the H25 you do still need the power inserter, the HR54/H44 are the only boxes that have that built into it.
Like you said in your OP the dish is good as it's still feeding other STBs. I'd double check that the power inserter is plugged in properly.
Heck it could even be a dead on arrival STB :(

Got it fixed! Had to change out the LBN to a SWiM type head. The HT 25 will not work on any other LBN. But the older HT 24 will work on both LBN. It helps to know people. That's the only way it got fixed.
