Disappointed with my local gun shop

Farrell's here in Floyd county has a wall covered with ARs, AKs, Dracos, etc. that he won't sell local because he wants to put them on Gunbroker. Only problem is he doesn't know how so they basically aren't for sale to anybody. Every time I have asked about them, he tells me he has a buddy coming soon to help him list them.

Its is going to be funny when these gougers sell off all their inflated stock and can't get anything from from distributors...........Maybe they've made enough off their inflated prices so that they can retire early.
Instead they should sell them off just as fast for regular prices and still not be able to replenish stock? How in the world would that be better for anybody except for the guys looking to flip them and make a buck? How exactly is selling at AUCTION price gouging?

It's all about money. I don't care how cool you think your local gun shop owner is, when it comes down to it he is there to make money. I don't go to work everyday just please the people I help. Why sell something for a dollar when you know you can get 10 dollars for it? That's how just about everybody thinks. I'm done with it.

I've moved on from it. If these dealers wanna hold items over folks heads then they can knock themselves out. Cause 99% of most gun shops right now don't care about anything else other than cashing in on this panic.

I mean seriously, "I can't sell it to you because I can get more for it off of GB". Why not closed the doors, save money on electricity and rent, and just sell your stuff online?

And oh, not be bothered with real-life customers who want to buy your stuff?

Every one of these businesses should be exposed. Why would you show loyalty to your local gun shop who obviously cares nothing about you or your business. C'mon people....wake up and list these sorry businesses so the rest of us won't fall prey to their greedy practices.

I was in Cherokee Monday to put an SR1911 on layaway at the price I was quoted several weeks ago, 619.00. I also noticed very few modern sporting rifles on the wall because they had sold most of them. They still had ammo for almost the same price as before Connecticut and I didn't notice any significant price differences in the weapons either. Cherokee is the kind of shop that deserves your business and deserves to continue to be successful.

"That's all I have to say about that".

I think they should have at least put the ones they want to sell on GB in the back so that this problem would have happened. Although he is there to make money there is a better way to do things. I do not agree with price gouging on the necessities such as food, gas, etc but AMERICA build on free enterprise. If someone is willing to pay that price for those guns it is his right to sell them for that price. That is just how business works.

I like Cherokee also , but you need to look around on Gunbroker. Cherokee has or had , (auction may be over now) several items on there including ARs.
