Don't have any pics but I've had good results with VHT and Duplicolor engine paint. I used it on an old Springfield single barrel 16 gauge and a Stevens pump 12 gauge.

Krylon...Cleaned, rubbed down with acetone and a tack cloth, hung and painted. Maybe $15, total.

I beat the s*** outta this 7.5" runs like beast. Toss it around like I'm ashamed of it. Walk as slow as I can when it's raining outside and I got it. It was a semi-experiment that turned into a reliable truck gun I love to tote around and haven't broken yet. Correction, I broke a spike Bolt extractor retaining pin, right in half. Other than that no issues. Groups well and I run optimized SBR black hills 5.56 pressure TSX loads. The special ones with the "robust" petals. Can't say I've had any real world experience BUT tests from other show perfect expansion out to 75-100yards which is sweeeeeeet outta such a slow moving 5.56
