DIY masks

So, I was bored today. Flat out bored. So I did this. The hepa filter from my research is about the same as level 3 mask fabric. Print time is 3.3 hrs. Procurement of filter material was courtesy a rigid shop vac hepa filter, elastic from wife’s sewing basket, rubber band. It breaths ok if your at rest, but the minute you need a lot of volume, it won’t work.

The hospital my wife works at told them that the wraps they use on surgical instruments after they’re sterilized are N95 filters. May be easier to breath through.

I 3d printed an exhaust valve and cut out a piece of dental dam rubber for the seal. Works good! New design also, square intake with frame support for filter media. The purple stuff is vinyl impression material to create perfect and tight seal fit
