DIY under $2 kydex knife sheath upgrade

TCB's right, but it is a different sheath too!
Talk about the old bait and switch; I feel used, but we'll spot you some credit due to your advanced years...
:faint:

I like the rectangular one for a necker, but both are nice!

Great build Top, and Creative addition SJ!!

Top did did a great job on both sheaths (he sells custom kydex holsters&sheaths) and the upgrade idea came from Tacticaldave. I just thought it was a good enough idea to share it with everyone here. Oh, and of course use it myself.

Cable clamps... heck of an idea there. I was just fooling around with a new kydex sheath this weekend... of course, I didn't leave room for extra holes. But I can add it on the next one for sure.

I ordered some Chicago screws so I could put these on all 3 of my kydex sheaths (yes the one I got from you too VC) I think we can put these on leather too. Pics to follow

Wow knifekits.com has good customer service. I ordered a pack of Chicago screws on Saturday night and they are installed on my kydex Tuesday afternoon

credit to VC94 for this scrap yard knife with kydex sheath (now upgraded)

Great update SJ!

How do you like the metal clamp compared to the plastic one?

Nice job on the SYKCO. That sheath is a custom build by Mashed Cat Outfitters.

Hey, what is that tan colored bush knife? Looks nice.

BTW, the ferro on my BHK Nessmuk now sports a stylish rust colored hair gummi to match the brown leather sheath. Here it is with my ultralight $6.00 rocket stove....
Excellent idea!!!

That tan (coyotee or dark earth depending on who you ask) knife is a $20 china made thing I picked up at swordsswords.com the metal clamps come with a rubber liner and I had to bend it a little to make it work. It's not bad but the plastic clamps works just as good. Plastic clamps= 15 for $2, metal clamps= 2 for $2 without much performance difference
