Do Glocks have safeties?

A 5 year old is going to be mostly curious. You have to get rid of that curiosity. Take him to the range and put muffs and plugs on him and let him feel the concussion. Also shoot a watermelon and let him see what it does. He needs to understand there is no coming back from that. Unload it and let him hold it and start the teaching process. Let him know that anytime he wants to see it you will unload it and let him. Once you do this he will not mess with it without you.
This worked for my daughter. She has been around glocks all of her life. I always leave them loaded. She knows this. She is now 11 and can shoot any hand gun I own. She at 8 went inside and retrieve my glock so I could shoot a snake in the back yard. She kept her finger off the trigger and had it pointed in a safe direction. I also let her choose when she wanted to learn to shoot. It was shortly after that.
Agreed. Our youngest shooter is 4. A loaded gun is just as common place as a cup in this house. All three of our kids (4, 6, 8) wont even take a second look at a gun. They see it, know where it is and walk on by.

The first reply answered my question....no safties on Glocks. Doubt I will get one.

Why do you need a safety? When utilizing common sense Ans a proper holster, a manual safety is not required. Manual safeties are a crutch for the careless, it will not prevent a nd or ad.
