have a friend who is part of the 4-H S.A.F.E [safety, awareness, fun & education] Sports Shooting Team. They have competed and have won the Ga. State team competition. They are now headed for the National competition in Nebraska. They are in need for financial assistance to make the trip.
Team members consist of: Garrett, Hailey, Kaitlyn and Danielle. Their ages are from 16 to 17 years old
Hailey has also mastered the .22 rimfire open site in 2012
Garrett holds the state record for .22 in the 2012 4-H competition
All team members started shooting w/ the Bartow Co. 4-H S.A.F.E. BB competition team. They all have participated CMP [civilian marksmanship program] matches in Griffin and Breman Ga. Garrett competed at the Nationals in 2011 @ Camp Perry Ohio where he medaled
They are raising money to make the week long trip to Grand Island Nebraska where the [4] teenagers will represent the State of Ga.
They estimate it will cost approximately $4000.00 [registration fees, gas, hotel, and food]
Contributions are tax deductable. 4-H is a non-profit organization and in Ga. is sponsored by The University of Ga.
Donations can be made to: Bartow Co. 4-H
320 W. Cherokee Ave. suite 112
Cartersville Ga. 30120
ATTEN: Kim
They will need a return address so they can mail a receipt w/ a tax ID for your income taxes
THANKS for your help
Gary

They are the National Champions and Garrett is the Individual Champion. Great job. We are very proud of these teenagers! If anyone wants to see all the scores you can go to the 4-H sight and check out the National competition in Grand Island Nebraska. We want to say thanks again for all of the support for these kids. They worked hard for this win, and all of them continue to compete in local and national CMP events. (and win) They will be back for the new 4-H season in January 2013.
