Do people lie to you about the guns they "own"

I had a "Gun Store Clerk" tell my brother and I (both military) that a 9mm didn't have enough stopping power. So I politely asked this 300lb gentleman, who was nicely outfitted in every pouch or accessory you can fit on a belt that size, " not enough stopping power? For what?" He then told me that he was active duty a while ago (hopefully long ago), and he still does missions when they call him. During one of these "missions" he encountered some "hostiles" (his words) and he said it hardly slowed them down. I wanted to hear more, but I was afraid of what I might do to him, if he continued to speak. I love gun experts!

:heh:

I like the Glock 7 from die hard 2. Made completely of non metal parts, so it's undetected by metal detectors bahaha John McLain said so!!!

I used to work at a german auto dealership. They used to have a guy that could drop a 944 engine by lunch time. Putting back up took him almost a day. Lots of sensors. He could drop a 911's by 5pm. He however got paid great money and was sort of a DIVA.

stupid people aint always a bad thing i went with a friend a while back to pick up a very very nice 1187 for 300 bucks he posted an add that said want to by 1187 and they guy called when my friend ask what gauge it was the guy said "i THINK its a 12g but im really not sure." he went on to say that his dad had given it to him after 1 round of 5 stand and that he just didnt like guns. we picked it up and he gave him a cheap case and 9 boxes of 8shoot hahahahaha.
