Do people lie to you about the guns they "own"

I worked with a buddy who told more lies than any one I have ever met.He told us when he was in the military he swiped a case od heat seeking bullets for his 30-06.lol we offered him 300 dollars for one bullet but he said he was scared to bring one in case they were watching him.

 that sounds like something i was told once. Its so funny because it seems like the 30-06 is the 'go to' gun to use in these ex-military stories lol

talked to a guy yesterday who reloads .45acp cast lead armor piercing rounds....he developed them on his own, but found out later, from a seal team 6 member, that they were an exact copy of something the gov't developed right after ww2 and he wasn't supposed to be able to do that...

I see guys claiming they have assault rifles, and high capacity magazines all of the time when they are really just semi auto rifles with standard capacity mags.

I have a case of ice bullets developed by the military in the freezer. They melt after use and no trace evidence can be found. It is special water used in em so you can not duplicate these at home.yes $300 would be a fair price for one but only on days below 32 degrees.OK 8 for 2000.

 that is a good one

Went to Wal mart today and picked up some 7.62x39. I had to get one of the guys from automotive to open the case. He asked me what I was gonna shoot it in and I told him an AK. He then started to tell me some fantasy story about shooting his .50BMG rifle at over a mile and it cost him $10 a shot. His cohort in the automotive section not to be outdone then chimed in about shooting a "Taurus .50 (fiddy) full semi automatic in .357magnum" Yesterday. Was it a .357sig I asked? No it's just like the .50 (fiddy) but it shoot .357 magnum. Time to walk away and finish my grocery shopping That new Taurus must be a Shot Show special :)
If the guys changing oil at Wal Mart can afford toy's like that, ammo for em and training to shoot like that I'm in the wrong business.
