Night Crawler.
Looks like a garter snake and its still alive, I like that. Saw a big black snake today that got smacked on the road.

As I mentioned in another thread, almost all snake ID threads here are Brown (rarely more than 12" long and always that consistent coloring) or a rat snake (various colors and can get to 6' plus.
The occasional King, Garter, Water also make rare appearances. Anything venomous, even rarer.
