When I carry my 1911 it is cocked and locked. When I carry DA guns like a Glock, I always carry with a round in the chamber.

However, when I carry my Colt SAA...there is NO ROUND IN CHAMBER. The good thing is that when drawn and cocked the Colt SAA is ready to fire. And if you don't think that can happen in the blink of eye - then google a few quick draw guys like Bob Munden.

Yes! If you're not comfortable with one in the chamber, then carry a D/A revolver or semi-auto.
