Also, if you feel that the speed trap is just a revenue raising ploy then be positive and grateful that this “ploy” may just eliminate the need for the authorities to increase your real estate or other taxes to make ends meet.
Well, that is what you think . . . but what is it that you know?
I know that in 2017 there were 1,549 crash fatalities in Georgia. (#4 in the nation)
My question is why would you warn them - if they are that bad of a driver and you know that they can be caught and stopped just down the road, why would you help them? They are very likely to be the ones that run the red light and kill your wife or child sitting in your passenger seat, or travel off the road too fast in a curve, over-correct, and hit you head-on. No, it's not illegal to flash your lights, there is case law for that, but are the people that you have to warn about the police really the people you want on the road with you and your family?
I'm sorry, but clearly you have never been the victim of a driving related incident - I have witnessed and experienced way to much first-hand to care at all that someone gets a moving violation ticket. Selfish entitlement - to think that the rules of the road don't apply to you - basically that's what it boils down too. FWIW, I stopped and wrote my brother, and I fully expect to get pulled over and ticketed myself should I speed (especially anything 10 over) . . .

I set my cruise control on 80 (so I don't get a ticket) on i-75 south on my way to Macon and get passed by off duty cops going to their training center in Forsyth like I'm sitting steel. Why aren't they concerned about safety? Tell your self what ever you need to keep writing chicken S tickets. What would happen to a cop that went a month pulling people over and only writing warnings???Well, that is what you think . . . but what is it that you know?

“may just eliminate the need for the authorities to increase your real estate or other taxes to make ends meet.” is a far cry from “speed traps are good because they reduce taxes and catch bad guys” don’t you think?
I do it every chance I get. I thinks it’s 99.9% revenue generation.
I’ve always wondered though if the LEO caught me would he issue a citation?
I have learned that about half of you do not care for your fellow drivers and sadistically like to see them suffer at the hands of the LEO's speed traps.

Sorry Albert, I can't help you, but try looking at it another way. How about "a moving violation is an infrequent occurrence for most of us, but an increase in our taxes goes on forever for all of us". Which would you rather have?Sounds like the same thing to me![]()
