Do you flash lights to warn traffic of speed traps??

If it's a trap setup I'll usually warn the next couple of cars coming the other way. If a cop has a car he should be patrolling, not sitting. Same thing that gets me every time I see a MARTA cop parked at a station... "Why aren't you on a train?"

Perfect example this morning on the way to work. I drive down 285 a bit to get to I20 to get in town. There were probably a dozen tractor trailers illegally in the 3rd and even 4th lanes on 285 the whole way. I take the exit onto I20, and there's a GSP car sitting just down the road, doing nothing... just waiting for speeders.

I will warn oncoming traffic if there is anything up ahead of them that could suddenly slow them down and possibly cause a wreck, whether it's cop cars beside the road doing a traffic stop causing traffic to suddenly slow down, a broken down vehicle, a wreck, deer, etc etc. If it is raining hard or it's dark and they don't have their headlights on or if they have their bright lights on, I will flash my lights at them. But, if they are hauling ass, I rarey flash my headlights to warn them of cops ahead.

I'm not sure that highway driving counts. Last weekend I was dead to rights for 82 in a 65 in Florida with cruise control on, but was being passed often. I am getting to be a old fart, possibly by not seeing the reason for driving 100 in a 65 zone but giong slower than the idiots around me , by a small margin gives me peace. I want you traveling 90. That could be being late for a appointment or just being a asshole.

Do you get there any quicker? On a road trip, you must stop for gas, and if you want to say I made it from Pensacola to Marietta in 4 1/12 hours which I have done It's in gas and go with little traffic starting early


If you are the the ass whipe that travels the right lane to get on front of 2 cars, someday I will be the one that spins you out if my family isn't in the car..you know who you are and you make the traffic worse by the braking that happens behind you. When I do I hope you are OK but the video will show that even though I sped up you cut in front of me. Lawyers and yada yada going to be fun especially when your lawyer sees this post .

If you are going 60 in a 35 then you deserve it. No flashing.

I'll warn the lead car most of the time, long as they aren't driving like a douche. I try to stay out of the pack when I drive and usually end up driving about 10 over.

I would disagree with this. I do track driving regularly and hit 100 plenty and it never becomes "normal" like 60. A faster speed just requires the attention no matter how used to it you are

Agreed, you're not gonna do 100 if you're only comfortable at 70. The dangerous folks are the ones doing 55 in a 70.

I dont flash my lights at anyone unless they fail to dim their brights. Its not my responsibilty to help someone else avoid a traffic ticket. If peoole dont want to get pulled over they should not drive like idiots. Its not really that hard to avoid getting pulled over. Keep your speed below 10 over the posted limit, pay attention, and don't follow people to closely.
