Do you guys place a value on optics.....................?

I'm not talking Nightforce with a lifetime warranty. I'm talking less than 200 dollar optics that may or may not work with no warranty?

Just had someone offer a 500 ar and a 200 dollar scope for my 1400 dollar never fired M1A. Wanted an even trade.

He seemed a little shocked when I showed him the value of his gun. I kinda felt bad about it.

Back to the point do you place a value on cheap optics when considering a trade.

I'm just not interested in a 200 dollar scope. Probably just picky I guess but I have had scopes fail in the past.

I don’t add a trade value. They’re lucky I don’t impose a disposal fee for getting rid of their Mickey Mouse stuff.

Agreed. If I’m interested in a gun, I already have an idea of how I want it set up. And most of the time, even decent optics are in sh*t mounts so they’re still more headache than they’re worth.

I usually say spend as much on optics as you do the weapon.

But as been said I am a gun snob.

Very little if any. I usually don't want to buy a rifle with one already mounted - as I'd prefer to do my own setup with the scope I'd want.
