I have my questions where the money goes but until you do just sleep better knowing that your trying to help and if you find out different then stop funding.

Zesty it's not a matter of what I can or can't afford. I never expected to get the money back. I just know next time someone on the odt asks for money I'll be skeptical.

I was talking in general about the gift vs loan with friends. You're right to feel skeptical in the future.

Let me clear up some things here for you guys, Since you all just like to assume things! My Xbox was from my OWN money!from selling other things to get it! If I wanted a Xbox so bad I could have just sold my g36 ever think about that? so why would I need your money to buy it? when you assume you make a ass out of you and me! maybe think before you speak next time?

If you can't see that asking for money from others to help a friend and then buying an xbox REGARDLESS of where the money came from is a problem.... well... nevermind.

there's always that feeling of being ripped off when you donate to any cause. i'm sure we've all read about non profit groups that had money laundered or stolen out right by the employees of the group rather than going to where it rightfully belongs.

another example is if u give money to hobos and they decide to go buy smokes or beer. no different.

if i decide to donate money, it's cuz i've made the decision to part with it. i don't care where it went. all i know is i tried to do something good. i'm good w/that

You give cause you can. or willing to. after that i dont worrie about it, if i did it would drive me crazy,, i dont give to police funds solicited on the phone anymore, when you get that call ask the right off how much goes to the police fund, most times its less than 20%, Like bulldawg said we all pay taxes that charity in the worst form
