Complain to the manager or server before you are served. Also, never send food back. Guaranteed to result in payback to you. Show your dissatisfaction by never returning.

I worked in restaurants for 6 years and never saw anybody do anything gross to the food. I would fire anyone on the spot if they did. The chef might throw a fit, but he isn't going to rub his balls on your steak if it is over cooked.

Nowhere in my reply did I say it NEVER happens. I said I never personally saw it happen in my years in the restaurant business, which leads me to believe it is extremely rare. I also never worked at crappy chain restaurants with the complete morons those seem to attract.
