Do your part to educate and convert!

I guess I shouldn't be surprised with an internet douche being douchey. Good job lumping millions of people into a preconceived notion that you have of them so you can continue being right.

A liberal calling someone a douche is a bit of an oxymoron. But yeah, it is easy to lump all of you into a big group of internet butthurt.

I personally have no interest in helping those who vote for politicians expressedly AGAINST the 2nd amendment exercise any rights, much less a right they actively try and kill. When someone takes a liberal shooting and that liberal THEN decides to vote AGAINST anti 2A politicians I'll reconsider... as I sit there eating my hat and enjoying the aerial cirucs headed by the flying pigs.

Bear... I get you never said the couple you took were liberal voters but that's inevitably where the conversation goes.

I personally know of several people that went from anti 2A to Pro 2A after I got them started shooting. A liberal will vote liberal unless something changes their mind. If I take a liberal shooting and they don't change their mind, nothing lost. If I don't take them shooting I lose the opportunity to change their mind.

I'm not really interested in the name calling and the "us versus them" mentality. I believe in the safety of myself and my family and the inability of my government to provide that for me. Try getting a call from your alarm company about them receiving an alert from your home, driving like a maniac to get back, clearing your house room by room at gunpoint to only have a police officer show up 20 minutes later with no lights or siren and you might be able to relate. The way to have a conversation with someone that doesn't believe in guns is to point out the fact that the authorities will show up after the fact to file a police report but you are likely to be on your own for those first 20 minutes until they do. I might not agree with some of the things that you believe in and you might not agree with me but we can all agree that the safety of the ourselves and the people that are dear to us is of utmost importance. I often bring friends that are new to guns shooting with me and they always enjoy it and some even go on to own guns themselves. Give me a candidate that believes in the same things that I do and is also pro 2nd Amendment and I'll happily vote for him.

I did it once, and here's how it turned out...

And since the Firearms Discussion forum is now apparently the Firearms Lecturing forum, here's some "education" for you. Instead of wasting time adding yet another gun owner who votes to RESTRICT OUR RIGHTS, perhaps your time would be better spent working to get Constitutional Carry in the state of GA - among other things. My time is valuable, and I'll spend it working to increase our rights, not erode them. YMMV

If you think turning someone from anti-gun to pro-gun is wasting my time, well OK then.

BTW, if the above GIF really is how your attempt turned out, you're doing it wrong.

Hunting for survival is no longer the norm as it once was and neither is every child growing up with a gun in their house that was used for utilitarian purposes and was just looked at as a tool to be used and respected. A significant amount of people have now grown up without any experience with guns other than what they see on the news every single day which is intended to instill fear to drive ratings. The number of those people will continue to grow and your gun rights will likely decline. You can either teach them to enjoy gun ownership or treat them as enemies and they will continue to be enemies.

As such a strong proponent of the second amendment who did you vote for president last month? 2012?
