Do your part to educate and convert!

SIMPLE , HillBilly,Try to be Christian like, and dumb Country boy points to view (2cents)......... a gun has never killed anybody and it's not right Christian or not to kill Babies. I've asked some of the same sort....."Aren't you glad your Mama didn't kill you" Ya, i'll stop RIGHT there
This is not a 2A voting issue at all. It is your interpretation of what a conservative is. Like I have said, most people are single issue voters and if you make that issue the 2A they are going to vote to protect it.

"Guns don't kill people" don't work anymore? Where have I been?

No they don't. There is a small percentage of voters that are "on the fence". If you are ferreting them out, well done. The rest consistently vote one way or the other.
Yes they do, but it is not a pattern that is written in stone for them. Most of the time it's little more than habit and isn't even seriously driven by the issues. I'm not talking about fence sitters. I'm talking about low information voters (the majority of voters in the US) and informing them. They aren't stupid, they just make little or no effort to be informed. When I make that effort for them, the results are often very good.

Look, you keep arguing this like it's theoretical. It's not! I'll say it again. I know for a fact I have changed people's voting habits. One of them is an ADA that still contacts me to discuss conservative issues as she debates them with her coworkers. She was in her 40s when I converted her. Hell, I converted her long before we ever went to the range.

You can choose to stay on the bench and justify it any way you want, but the simple fact is that I change minds by doing what I'm doing. Don't try to tell me otherwise, because I know better.

Sure it does, but only after you get them to the point they are willing to listen to it by educating them away from the notion that guns are inherently evil, which is one of the fundamental points of the liberal anti-gun propaganda.

OK, then keep on keeping on. I've had success in converting anti hunters and the occasional pro-abortionists, but can't say the same for anti 2A voters. And I certainly don't pretend to know that those conversions had effect in the voting booth. I'm fine with you being more successful than I at it, believe me. But I'm not wasting my time on it any longer nor will I consider ADULT anti 2A voters just needing a little education. They need professional help. I'm not a professional.

I'm not pretending. I speak with several of them every voting cycle to discuss which candidates are best. They contact me.

I took a couple to the range today to teach basic SD with a handgun. The wife was very nervous and frightened of the weapon. Within a few hours she was clearly having a great time and was in friendly competition with her husband. Though she retained proper respect for the handgun she no longer feared it at all. Then I pulled out the AR15 just for some fun at the end of the day.

I thought she might faint! All of her fear and nervousness returned 3 fold. She was asking all of the classic anti-gun propaganda questions. "Why would anyone need one of these for self defense?" "It just looks evil and scary."

We had a conversation, I got her to shoot it and after a few mags, I asked if she would prefer the handgun or the AR to protect her home and children. By the time we were done she was asking what would be a reasonable cost for an AR.

Don't write someone off just because they have fallen for the left's BS. Educate!

Bravo!!

I had a lib-tard say to me a few months ago "why do YOU need an assault rifle" with a very smug attitude....I watched her face get red with anger when I replied... "because I need the rail space for my grenade launcher!"
