Does anyone know of good public hog hunting locations within 3 hours of Marietta?

A buddy is coming down south for a week the week before Christmas and he wants to hog hunt so we’re trying to get in some hog hunting during this deer season. I’ve never hunted on public land before and I’m looking for good hog spots on WMA’s or other public lands. I’ve heard they can be hard to find so we plan to visit several locations over the span of a few days. Places near the Marietta, Allatoona, and Cartersville area is preferable, but name them all. So far I’ve got Pinelog and Paulding Forest, and Allatoona on the list. I would also appreciate any tips on finding hogs on public land. If anyone has private land they’d be willing to let us on, please pm me.

No more pinelog. Paulding is your best bet around where you named. Some on Allatoona but not as many as Paulding. Chattahoochee NF or cohutta has them.

Check the ocmulgee wma it is slap eat up with hogs.

Check the regulations for the open seasons on public. Some are not open for deer. You’d have to use the legal small game weapons if the small game season is open.

Yes sir! The pigs are there if u will put in the work to fund them!
I have killed many a with a black powder rifle!
The pig in the picture was on a 4 mile stalk!
And we smelled it before we saw it! His NUTS HAVE NOT DROPPED YET!
