Not worried about it at all, mainly because there's no actual intelligence in today's 'AI'.

It's simply a very well designed program that is fed a s#!t-ton of data so it can generate semi-reasonable replies to the questions it's asked.

There's no 'intelligence', as in self-awareness there. Just a computer running it's program.

The original term used for this type of program before all the hype was "Machine Learning", and that's a lot more accurate.

That may change the way developments in quantum computing are going, since the best guesses on human self-awareness are quantum based.

If quantum computers get up to the complexity of the brain and can use the advances in machine learning being made, we might actually see true AI.

so y'all were scared when the tv came out, cars, microwave, photoshop, vr... it is just a other tool that we will learn to use and discern. some are scared that it will become sentient but just for fun, assuming something like that happens, why will it be "evil"? cant it be a "good" one?

You just haven't watched enough movies involving robots.
