Biggest trout I ever saw was gut hooked by a 10 year old boy behind my dads motel on the Chattahoochee in Helen around 1980. It was long enough to have the tail out at the top of a large Playmate cooler and the head resting at the top on the other side! I was heartbroken! Had to be a 36" or better Brown, just guessing!
I was in Jr. High at the time and by then considered myself quite the accomplished angler LOL until I saw that bull! Hahahaha My dad tried to buy it so he could have it mounted and put in the office but they were from Sylvania and they couldn't care less or appreciate just how rare a fish like that was seen! They ate it and complained about it being tough

Really did xuck to see her so full /fat of eggs . There are plenty of others thou, Only wish I was there to watch her fight and land it
