Years ago I was in an old van and lightning hit the street 30 yds away from me in the rain...The bolt split into two and ran along the road..Blew me slap off the road..I will never forget that..

Yep. I've worked on airports for several years and seen lightning do some pretty crazy things. I have no doubt it could bounce and come to the water sideways.

Watch it frame by frame. Doesn't look like lightening to me.

But, what do I know, I have only been struck by lightening 3 times.
