Double slam fire in 1911

I don't think Remington's going to honor a warrantee on a pistol that old, and probably made on a wartime contract.

You just need a local gunsmith to look at it, or any of these guys that know 1911s. I'm not that guy.

You're lucky-- if it got loose and kept firing... well, obviously that could go very badly.

This is a risk with ALL self-loaders-- rifles, pistols, shotguns. When trying out a new one, a wise man shoots one, then loads NO MORE than two in the magazine, and runs them a few times before loading up a full magazine.
