No we usually drop it mid may… like to have it for 90 days then burn strips

I got you. I’ve always read June 1st was best but that puts it maturing opening week. I guess you want it getting mature a couple weeks before to start drawing the birds in

The problem planting early June you run a higher risk of dry/drought summer conditions

That’s why we planted millet, sorghum, and sunflower. But really our sunflower is coming in pretty good though.
