Opening day coming up Saturday so figured it would be a good thread for everyone heading out to the fields. What’s your favorite way to cook up a limit of birds?

Pineapple, bacon, cream cheese, and jalapeño’s come to my mind..
Best dove recipe ever:
-clean well removing all feathers and shot
-bring to room temp
-rinse in salt brine
-season with rub (salt/pepper/Italian Seasonings/
-bring water to boil (1 quart per bird)
-add bacon fat to water
-gently place birds in boiling water
-cook for 3 hours
-let sit for 15 mins
-serve to the dog that retrieved them
-most likely the dog will turn up there nose and walk away
-place in garbage can away from occupied space
-go to Longhorn and order yourself a bone in 28 oz ribeye

This recipe actually works for quail and pheasant too!

I’m guessing you prefer the taste of meat injected with tons of fun stuff and killed by others or just don’t know how to cook. Thank you for your input but I and plenty of others here do like eating dove along with other game birds.

You took some time to type all that dribble and I truly hope you don’t just kill for sport and toss it to your dogs.
Lighten up, it’s called humor!!
