Just start with series one and binge on it until you catch up.

I would start with the first season of the reboot... when Christopher Eccleston was the Doctor. Those were decent and set the stage with Rose for the rest. If you don't mind sort of 'cheesy' SciFi, with plots that range from brilliant to lame week to week, Dr. Who is a great show.

New season starts on Saturday with a new Dr.

Matt Smith took awhile to grow on me, but He fit the part. Be interesting to see how the new guy turns out.

So I think I want to start watching dr who. I watch shows on my phone at work to keep myself awake between calls and so many people love this show I figure I'll give it a shot.

I know that it started in the 60s but I want to start with the modern episodes. When should I start watching? I've heard season 1 and season 5 of the new episodes but I don't know which one.
