Carrying a firearm is a lifestyle choise. If you choose to go this route then you should not limit yourself to one firearm. It's best to have several firearms to fit your clothing or choose your clothing to fit your firearm. I here people say "I have to open carry at times" usually followed by "my guns to big to conceal" or "it's hot outside" etc. etc. etc. you all have heard all the excuses. It is NOT impossible to conceal carry 100% of the time. Those that open carry choose not to make the effert to CCW and open carry because that's what they really want to do. The thought that crosses my mind when I see someone open carry is "what are they afraid of" I see open carry as a means for people who might not be able to handle themselves in a bad situation to avoid a bad situation by showing everyone that they have a gun. It say whithout words "I have a gun so you better not mess with me" to keep people away.
My wife gave me a hard time two weeks ago when it was somewhat warm outside and I threw a light weight jacket on because I did not want to swap out guns or change my clothes. We went shopping then came home and removed my jacket. Now that it's getting close to summer temperatures I will start to carry my subcompact and leave the larger guns at home.
Just because you have your weapon concealed doesn't mean that you are giving up any rights. Your rights were restricted a long time ago when they passed a law making it a requirement to get a permit to carry. Don't screw up what we have by getting the public upset.
