Duck season

Ever hunt lake chatuge? I’m going up to hiawassee for thanksgiving and thought about taking my kayak up and giving it a try.

I have the perfect duck hunting outfit. canoe, New trolling motor with extended controls, New Marine grade battery, Outriggers allowing shooting standing up or stand up fishing while trolling. absolutely stable! $1400 or $2200 with new trailer. 256-599-2478

Probably the two nicest looking birds I’ve shot, wish I could afford to mount them but that is ridiculously expensive now. The hen was massive, you can’t tell in the pic but she was much larger than the drake

Give Oak Hill Taxidermy in Ellijay a call. I haven't personally used them, but I've heard they do excellent work at an incredible price. I plan on using them some this year.

One of my son in laws, and a life long buddy with his grown son are heading to Arkansas today.......hoping there's some birds up there that will fly slow enough for me to hit!

Not a lot of water… Where there is water there is birds. My son and a buddy are in a duck club in Arkansas. Slow going Sat opener and sun they ended up with like 16 mallards, some spoonies, and like 7 geese.
not a great hunt for 4 days… You can usually shoot that in a morning when it’s on…

Good to know. We'll have water. Hunting some flooded fields way up in the NE corner, almost in Missouri.
