So this weekend I decided to build and install a dump bed on my golf cart.

For starters this is a all steel diamond plate 1980s Taylor Dunn. Perfect platform to start from. Mods so far was a slight lift, a winch in the rear to pull down trees, and some old helicopter seats.
Following are the pics of the finished project so far. Thanks @Sebastian Ferguson
for the parts donations.

The hinges are reinforced so nothing folds over due to weight.

The tail gate is hinged and has drop pins to keep it closed.

After that was finished I built a basket for the front out of more left over parts.

Now I need to install new lights, tube bumper, and front receiver. A linear actuator for the bed would be good too.

What's a linear actuator?

How does this bed "dump" now? Do you manually grab it and push it, and let it pivot on that one point where it's attached to the vehicle's bed near the back?

For right now I just grab it at the front, lift it, and it pivots on the hinges at the back of the cart. The actuator will do the lifting for me.
