I had a beauty back in the late 70's.. Paid $200 w/all matching numbers.. While firing it, the bolt blew out the back just missing my head. Metal fatigue.. Cracked the receiver.. Sold it for parts (sigh) Had that happen to an SVT Russian in the 60's.. Now I bench and fire with a string.. Still no guarantee with an old service weapon built by slave labor towards the end of WW2
