Dye for body armor

RIT dye is the only thing I could think of to do anything with fabric or there use things have to be painted, Polyester is near impossible to dye cause it doesn’t soak up anything since it’s plastic, RIT does make a special kind that works well though

I was thinking krylon fusion, made for painting plastic

Anybody ever dyed Interceptor body armor? Or painted it? Which works best? What do you use?
I see you're in Marietta. There is a place called Vinyl Pro at 1935 Davis Ln SE, Marietta, GA 30067. They sell SEM products in spray cans, many colors. They are for car dashboards, bumpers, etc. There is a can of an adhesive agent you use first, then a can of the color agent. About 25 bucks for the two. They are next to the Social Security building on Franklin Rd near 41. http://www.vinylpro.com
