Earthquake last night...down the street

Not kidding. Epicenter was literally around the corner from my house.

The wife and I were watching TV last night and we felt the house shake, lasted only a second or so. Similar to a close lightning strike or heavy construction machines working nearby. But there was no storm, and it was night, so nobody was building anything in the area.

Sure enough, checked the earthquake sites, and they showed a 2.3 quake, epicenter about 1/2 mile from our house.

you would have to be pretty close to the epicenter to feel a 2.3 quake. I was in a 4.0 earthquake in Indiana about 10 years ago. felt like a train or semi truck speeding down the hallway of my hotel room.

Ive been thru 2 earthquakes in Costa Rica and slept thru both of them, One was a 3.6, the other a 3.2
