how much ya looking to spend for a non junk safe?
My winchester safe had keypad failure after a few years and multiple moves. I replaced it myself with a better digital lock and it works better than ever with no issues. Every time I press a button, it works. The old one had problems from the very beginning with detecting some of my button pressing, should have tipped me off. Fortunately it fd up on me after I already opened the door, so no locksmith needed to come out... Just paid for a little odt safe guy advice and got it done!
Well I jinxed myself on that one. My wife just tried to open the safe and it's not responding at all. Put a new battery in and that didn't work. Do I have to replace the lock? Anybody know?

Push in and bump the handle the opposite direction. Mine gets like that sometimes when something is against the door and binds the locking bars slightly.

Make sure the battery is an Alkaline battery and preferably Energizer or Duracell.
