Elementary School discipline

Thank you so much for taking the time to ask your wife and to write that out. I am going to copy that into an email and see what comes out of it. I'm frustrated right now because this topic has come up a couple of times in the past and it's always the same request--talk to Alex and let him know to stop bringing things to school. What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different response. When I've replied to the emails and said take/throw away his stuff, that part of my email gets ignored. I'm going to run this (what you posted) by her and see what she says...

Tell your wife thank you very much for her input. :thumb:

#1. If Mom &/Or Dad said don't, & he does, Mom &/Or dad must take corrective actions.

#2. The Teacher Must take control of her classroom, rather than sit behind a computer & send an email.

The old saying "If I got it at School, I knew I was going to get it at home", comes to mind.

Like someone else said, Team Effort.

I agree with you but I'm afraid we're in the minority...

We are, & it's because we've been too busy earning a living, & the Socialists have been busy taking over our schools, government, even our homes in some instances.

When I was in School, ( & it wasn't that long ago), my dad didn't "get permission " to keep me out of school: I was his, he sent me to school to learn.

If he felt there was value in me going with him that day rather than going to school, I was there the next day to get whatever I'd missed.

Pops was a Small Business Owner all of my Adolescent life, & as you well know, there is more to learn than what's in a book.

Lots of wisdom in that post. Sounds like your dad and my dad were cut from a similar cloth. I could have just about wrote that post myself.

I never got switches. I always cringed when my friends told me that's what they got...

I'll tell ya something I remember...
Mom would say don't you get a small one ! You bring me back a good one !

You would stand there at that hickory and try to figure out which one wouldn't hurt so bad , then you reflected on what you did or didn't do ...

I'll give ya another one... stand in the corner for 30 minutes holding a penny to the wall with your nose !
If ya dropped it ya got a switching

Dad always had his with him: it was tooled leather, & the BS was skipped.

That's the problem today: Dads have been made to be a fool, & degraded, or pushed to the side in favor of the State's ways.

Man let me tell you...the sound of that leather whipping through all the belt loops as it was pulled off would strike fear in you like no other...

That reminds me. Dad went to get his belt one time but my brother was a step ahead of him...my brother hid it somewhere in the house. I can't remember how this story ends... @nitrousfedlx
