Eliminating Georgia's weapons "license" - For God's sake people, do it!

It has promise but I'm a little concerned about the concerns GeorgiaCarry highlighted, with under-21's not being allowed to open carry long-arms.

Seems like a good way to screw a lot of rural farm boys.

Guess I need to call my Rep when I get back from out of town this weekend.

But I like feeling special because I spent money on a little plastic card that says I am to be able to lug a gun around with me...

Imo, the benefit with the card is skipping NICS, especially during the holiday's. Since it's government ID, also good for trolling people. I use it at the liquor store sometimes. Wal-Mart too when they ask to card me for ammo.

I've read the entire bill (it's short, EVERYONE should read it) and absolutely do not share their concerns. I get so aggravated with the "it's not every conceivable thing we want so let's not advance the ball at all, mentality."
It's like a man on the brink of starvation refusing a Ribeye because it's not Filet Mignon. :frusty:

GWL's are THE definition of 'infringement'. Constitutional Carry states have lower crime rates. I'm tired of having to pay for and prove my 'worthiness' to exercise the most clearly enumerated of Constitutional rights.

Yea, I guess I need to do that myself. I've skimmed over some of the upcoming session bills but haven't went through them as well as I should.

I don't think it's been proposed, but I'd also like to see the GWCL made free. I mean, we can get a free Voter ID card, so why not a free Gun card?

But I share your view that Constitutional Carry is the logical way forward.

I love busting out my GWL as a form of ID
