The scar as we know it no, but the MK17 I think is arguably a GOTS weapon.

Interesting news found on another board.

"As of a few weeks ago the SCAR 17/H is officially dead in SOCOM.

Funding has been pulled and parts will be cannibalized to keep the current crop running.
Once there's no more spare parts the SCAR will be finished."

I would like to see the link.. I believe the Scar 16 was scrapped, but have not heard of this. The rumor mill is the SCAR H is very well liked, and get's a high performance rating.

There has not been a public announcement yet, but I'm told funding for the MK17 was pulled within the last 30 days. There are probably enough rifles & parts in the system to keep them going for a few more years.

I hope prices tumble so I can buy many more! I still feel like you are getting a "bum steer"... If funding was pulled they would have had a replacement out in part to the field, to battle test it... I am unaware what this replacement would be, and whose testing it...?
