Job Description
Sets up and operates machines to cut, bend, straighten, and form using free-form technique to meet product specifications. Works with unconventional types of materials (sheet metal). Making final product requires specialized skill/knowledge of machine and process. Quality with unconventional of final product is influenced by operator's extensive judgment in different aspects of creating the product. Error in judgment can lead to substantial cost and or injury. Verifies dimensional requirements, unloads and may transfer materials to storage areas using overhead cranes or forklift. Follows all safety rules and practices. May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities may include:
- Reading simple blue prints and production sheets
- Operates beveller, grinding, and deburring tools
- May operate press break, plate blaster, shear, punch press, saw or drill press
- Operates automated production equipment
- Assist in other departments as required
- Perform other duties as assigned Management
- Candidate should have experience is working in a non-climate controlled work environment (cold in winter, hot in summer)
- Construction, Mechanical, Metal working, Rail background preferred but open to hard working individuals
- 1 year of experience preferred
- Candidate should be dependable ad have a good attendance record
- Additionally, candidate should maintain a flexible attitude
- May require long periods of standing
- May require lifting up to 70lbs
- Use of safety glasses and hard hat is required
- May be exposed to elevated noise levels (use of ear plugs is required)
- Must pass general physical fit test and pulmonary fit test
- Metatarsal guard boots required
- Hot in summer and cold in winter environment**
Salary: $12.45 /hour
