OK, so I know this isn't most of ya'll thing here, but just in case...
I have a dining room suite that's pretty valuable. It's stamped "Ethan Allen by Baumritter" and it's a collection of pieces from the Windsor and Duxbury collections made in the mid-50's (I think...)
It's all hard rock maple, minimal wear, nutmeg finish and has been standing proud in my grandmothers', mothers' and my house for decades.
But the wife wants something else.
So...
I offer for your review my dining room suite.
The table is a butterfly w/ drop down sides and comes with two leafs. It'll seat 2 or 10 in a couple of minutes and has pads that cover the whole table in any configuration.
The buffet and hutch is two pieces w/ the hutch resting on pads on the buffet (no fasteners). It's _very_ stable and has enough storage to satisfy. It's held a 14 place china, silver and crystal set for a long long time. (14 place setting NOT INCLUDED!)
The chairs are the Duxbury line, three are side chairs, one is a captain. (No pic of the captain chair yet...)
All the furniture is in excellent shape. There is some slight handrubbing wear on the armrests of the captains chair and on the very tops of the all four chairs, but the rest is virtually mint. No chips, no cracks, splits, repairs. No loose joints. It's SOLID. (Didya' hear the part about it being hard rock maple? C'mon!)
I ask $2200 trade value for the set. That gets you the table, buffet, hutch and four chairs. The chairs alone are going on eBay for $150-$200 apiece w/ the captain chair going for more. Cash gets a discount, of course.
Will trade for things that go bang (see trade value above) or toward a mid-90's or newer, 19' or longer, Fish'n'ski (OK, so this is a reach, but if ya' don't ask...)
Or trade for something else, if you like this suite.
Will deliver within 100 miles of Metro ATL for a modest delivery fee.
