It sounds like some of these gun store employees don't really know what a straw purchase is. It's not a straw purchase for someone to buy a gun, complete the paperwork and then turn around and hand it to their buddy/husband/wife and say, "Here ya go!" as long as their buddy/husband/wife would be legally allowed to buy the gun on their own.
