Ever heard of these M1A / M14 mags?

25 round mags, an inch and a half longer than standard, made in USA, and by a company that has (or had?) a military contract to make 20 round M14 mags.

The price is right.

WHat do y'all think?

FWIW, genuine Springfield Armory mags have been most reliable in my M1A.
GI surplus mags, though they look identical (and were new when I got 'em) feed reliably but won't hold the bolt open after the last shot.

CMI is good stuff. I order from 44Mag often, they are a good company to deal with. Their Magpul stuff usually ships free. I've only bought the twenty rounders..no problems.

If the “USGI” mags aren’t working perfectly in your rifle, there’s a good chance that they’re counterfeit. There are counterfeit mags that even have “correct” packaging and packing. There is an excellent tutorial on the M14 Forum that shows the differences.

Checkmate makes great mags. They have been the only M-14 mag contractor for years

I have quite a few Checkmate mags along with some Springfield factory mags. They seem to be equal quality and are completely reliable.

Can't go wrong with a Checkmate mag for an M1A.
