I've trimmed tree limbs with a .22 rifle and/or a 12 gauge shotgun with birdshot a few times.
Easier to shoot them off the trunk than to get the extension ladder or climbing spike boots.

That might actually have some practical uses. It's battery powered so it wouldn't be loud. You could use it while climbing in your treestand, would be alot faster than a hand saw. You could also clear out a trail or shooting lanes in the thickets pretty quick. Can't find a way to cross a creek....problem solved! If you're lost in the woods you could use it to build a shelter and cut firewood.

Still pretty cheesy though...lol
