Our lowboy driver had to haul one of our trackhoes to rescue this one a guy I know got stuck at a pond. The machine belongs to his boss and is a fairly new machine. I guess I can’t rag on him too much Ive sunken one myself. Fortunately my incident wasn’t quite as bad as this. They were able to rescue the machine and other than some body damage it was fine.

That was the trail after they pulled him so far through it. The trackhoe was tipped so far sideways that even when they got him pulled back to good hard ground the buried track was still digging through the hard dirt like a conveyor belt.

When I worked at a tire recycler in Jackson I got a dumbass friend hired on and then helped him learn how to use the Bobcat loader. A few nights later he took it way out in the red clay and had to walk back.Those hard rubber wheels were just stuck. When he walked up I asked " Did you see the 4 wheel drive shifter?" He said " No." I said " That's cause it ain't 4 wheel drive asshole!" Then I made him watch while the Beane... Mexicans got it unstuck with the bucket.
Then this same dumbass wanted to try out the damn Cat 9 series loader. As if...

That pic is after they pulled him from the edge of the pond. The water and mud followed the trail with the machine. It doesn’t take much for a heavy excavator to find a soft spot and sink even if the ground seems solid enough.
