Face to face question

looking at trading. Guy lives in TN and of course I’m in GA. Told him we’d have to ship since it’s over state lines. He replies with saying that he has a C&R license. Question is: does his C&R make the deal legal for me to receive a gun and give him one?

From what I’ve read it looks legal (bottom paragraph below)

Then my understanding is you would have to use a dealer to transfer the rifle you receive. If it was just a case of you selling to him then yes you could ship or do face to face as long as you get an ink signed copy of his C&R license.
