Factory Five 33 Hot Rod

Got the front wheels today and plumbed/mounted the fuel pump and fuel filter. Rear wheels won't be shipped until late next week. Already have the tires 285/30r20 rear, 245/35r18 front. Bought a tool to cut the braided hose with, sure wish I had it in the old days when I was drag racing. Haven't decided whether to go up the left frame rail or cut diagonally across the car. Either way I need to end up at the regulator which will be slightly offset to the passenger side on the firewall.

Got some good advice on the Factory Five forum. Another 33 owner suggested I use some rubber isolators for the fuel pump mounting to keep noise down. Sounded like a good idea so I did. Also decided to run the braided fuel line up the inside of the left frame rail. I realized that if I run it diagonally it would be right next to the exhaust system so that plan won't work. At least I have something to do today. Got out of bushoging once again....

Called Factory Five today and my firewall and rear springs are being shipped today. Also my rear wheels were shipped yesterday and are supposed to be here tomorrow. Maybe I'll have a "roller" by next week.

I like the master cylinder under the floor pan. That way it cleans up the firewall

Lookin good

This has two master cylinders and one reservoir (although I think I'll opt for two), and they are under the dash not visible except for a removable panel in the body.
I have the option to mount the reservoirs on the firewall but I agree hidden is better.

Wow! That things gonna be so sweet .

Thanks, good to hear from you.

Got the rear wheels yesterday and mounted the tires today. For me I love them and think they have an old/new school blend. Also a pic of the power steering module bracket I made and a very useful new angle drill.

Working on the wiring, not very photogenic stuff. Tomorrow though, the firewall and rear springs arrive, so Wednesday she'll be a roller for sure. Ordered some custom throttle linkage and a couple of useful panels for under the fuel tank and behind the firewall. They will be useful but not visible, the one under the tank prevents road stuff from getting on the fiberglass behind the cockpit. The panel that goes behind the firewall will provide a place to mount the MSD box and any other goodies I want to mount and be hidden.
