Fanboys

I’ve always been a little curious about using the term ‘fanboy’ to belittle somebody who likes a certain brand or product... Once you drop the fanboy bomb on them you don’t have to listen anything they say, right?

Earlier today I was watching a YouTube video where the comment section had devolved into glerk lovers and serg sauer lovers angrily calling each other fanboys as if that devalued everything the other had to say... not sure what gives.

Figured the good gerntlemen of this community could spell it out for me.
