Here is a little racial note, in these type cases, blacks are more likely to side with the defendant. They feel that as a community they don't receive police protection, and when it comes to family matters, you have to do what you have to do. Even though the defendant is black, the black community isn't going to cut him any slack for messing with a 14 yr. old in his daddy's house. They mostly going to wondering why he didn't stomp the living daylights out of him in the house. The fact that dad left Man Man in good enough condition to run away will be seen as exculpatory

if he doesn't plead out, instead of going to a jury. The DA will be offering a sweet deal to keep this out of a court room
