I have a soft spot for a M44. It's so versatile, you can start fires with it, hammer nails with the buttstock, or even do some gardening with the bayonet. That and the fact that it was designed to be used by the most inbred, uneducated peasant conscript virtually ensures that I can't FUBAR it too badly.
