Featured listings ... not so featured?

I'm curious... why is it the "featured listings" (blue highlighted) are listed way below these other "not featured" listings all the time? I thought by paying the $3 / day your listing would be stuck to the top? Did I miss something about "super duper extra featured listings"?

The featured listings are displayed in their own box down the right side of the page on my screen on the "recent posts" screen. No need to even look at the fer sail listings

Yes I see the tiny sidebar too. I guess I thought they would be featured on the main content area of the window too, where most people look.
