Nope, never had them even ask for an id. Even when I shipped a handgun to manufacturer for warranty work.

I just ordered some primers from Brownells via Fedex. Tracking showed it out for delivery so I took off work to sign for it.
Sat around all day watching the front porch camera/ surfing the web. About 5pm I checked the tracking status and it said "customer unavailable at residence". Called the 800 number for CS and was informed "out for delivery" was an automated response on the tracking system....rinse/repeat for 2 more days. The tracking even stated they would make one final attempt to deliver. 3 and 1/2 days later they had to scan my license when they finally arrived.

FedEx routinely lies about attempting deliveries (among other things). I've gotten to the point that I won't order something if I know it's coming FedEx.

I have had FedEx mark a package as delivered to my door, only to find it in my mailbox the next day.

FedEx is the worst!! And I am pissed and will no longer deal with Amazon! I ordered an Ugly Stick on Amazon with Prime and it never arrived..Tracking said FedEx delivered it to me and they did not..I contacted Amazon and they told me in their A to Z policy I would not get a refund or credit..They told me to contact the seller. The seller told me to contact FedEx. I said shove it, I purchased it and it is your responsibility to deliver it to me home...You did not..

UPS is not any better sometimes. Last Christmas, my grandkids presents were supposed to be delivered here. When I got the delivered notice, it was for an address the next county over. I went to the address and found a vacant, burned out block building. I got a UPS supervisor from the local hub on the phone, and she actually called the driver to find out what happened. Packages showed up the next day. Go figure.....

Had a package thru USPS say that no one was home and would try again tomorrow. I was here and I checked my security cam and saw the lady blow right by my mailbox and house. It was raining. Next day, the package was dropped off on front door step and they never knocked, apparently I didn't need to be here for the package to be delivered, but the rain did have to stop.
